About Us...

Sounds of the Rockies is an elite mobile entertainment company that was started in 1995. The founder had been a part of the industry for many years, but decided that he needed to raise the industry standards. The only way that he could achieve this was by making a full-time, customer service oriented company, along with performing each event in a tasteful and professional manner. He recruits only the best, most reputable and experienced DJs in the industry to maintain the venture that we know as Sounds of Rockies. Fifteen years later, Sounds of the Rockies has become the most requested Wedding DJs, School Dance DJs, Corporate and Private service in Colorado. We continue to learn more about the needs of each of our clients and practice higher standards of customer service so that we may give each individual client, such as your self, the best experience possible. Management Staff:

Don Kennedy:   The founder and owner of Sounds of the Rockies Entertainment Group. A truly business savvy individual, Don cares about the quality of product and service his employees provide. He started Sounds of the Rockies with personal customer service in mind, and even though the business has grown, he continues to hold the same motto and value true to each employee so that every event is perfect.

Michelle Kennedy:  Our customer service, sales and marketing coordinator. She is a perfectionist and is 100% dedicated to the quality and service each client is given - before, during and their satisfaction after each event. No other company has a person completely dedicated to their clients like Sounds of the Rockies does with Michelle!

Sean Okland:   Our office manager in charge of organization and continued customer support. Sean has been an entertainer for Sounds of the Rockies for many years. Sean left his full time job as a grocery store manager to pursue a full time career with Sounds of the Rockies and has done a brilliant job since arriving. Sean attended the University of Northern Colorado and Graduated with a B.A. in the spring of 2001. Sean is extremely detail oriented and an ample part of the Sounds of the Rockies crew.

Jeff Anderson:   Jeff is a highly experienced Wedding DJ focused on performing every wedding perfectly. Jeff has a vast music knowledge that amazes even the best of us. With over 20 years of experience as a mobile entertainer, he is a great asset to the Sounds of the Rockies Staff. Jeff is also excellent at corporate and private parties.

Jimmy Stofa:   Jimmy is a motivated, high-energy DJ. He has over 10 years of experience and originally comes from Austin, Texas.  He has become a great, welcome addition to our team with his sense of humor and willingness to work hard at every event. 

David Hubbard:  David has over 13 years experience in many areas as a DJ. He is a young professional who loves to make people dance and have a great time at every event!  He is a highly requested DJ for any type of event.

Sean Macready:  Sean is music enthusiast of all genres and experienced DJ for over 12 years.  He has a wide range of DJ experince in weddings, corporate, special events and clubs.  Sean also has many years of experience in event management, customer service & social-media marketing.

Brad Krauss:   Brad moved to Colorado a few years ago after owning his own entertainment company in Michigan. When he arrived here, he decided he'd rather work with us than start his own business. Brad is a very experienced DJ great for all events.

Ben Todd:    Ben has a passion for DJing. He started locally and has become a valuable asset to the Sounds of the Rockies family.  He is quite personable and great for people with a more laid back style. Ben is a highly requested school dance DJ.

Mark Wieneke:   Mark started enjoying our company as a high school student always willing to help at his school dances and quickly became a part of our team. After 8 years of DJ experience, Mark continues to do what he loves. He strives for perfection at any and every event.

Steven King:  Yes, his real name!  Steven has been with Sounds of the Rockies for many years and is a very diveresed DJ - highly requested in many areas and events.  Steven is also a great KJ for any event.

Mike Couch:   Mike has over 10 years of experience in many areas.  He has a great knowledge of all types of music. Mike has a true love of music and passion for making every event a great success.

Matt Huntington:   Matt is a well diverse DJ with many years of experience in Colorado and Las Vegas. Matt has done many school events and private events for us in which he has received great reviews.
